Almighty Jigglypuff in Space by FontesMakua Almighty Jigglypuff in Space by FontesMakua
Inspired by the frequent jabs at religion by Kyle Kulinski of Secular talk ( www.youtube.com/user/SecularTa… )... of which I always found amusing, hence the illustration.

Wanna know what's funny? I admit I do believe in God even though I'm not very religious, out of all of Kyle's jabs at religion in particular, this one is honestly my absolute fave, no WONDER Jigglypuff keeps coming back into Smash Bros XD

Kyle's kind of an asshole. Also, Jesus historically existed. Stuff like the Flying Spaghetti Monster doesn't.

No the Jesus in the Bible didn't exist, the one you mentioned is nothing like him

False equivalency is a fallacious argument, my friend.

It's not a false equivalence it's the truth, there was no man that walked on water in the middle of the storm or rose from the dead

You can't prove that Or disprove it. It IS easy to prove that a man named Jesus, aka Yeshua, existed, was put to death by the Romans, etc, etc. By contrast, there's absolutely no evidence for folks like Mishra, Zeus, Horus, the Flying Spaghetti Monster. At all.

Again there is a difference to the historical Jesus and the biblical one

There's not even a historical Flying Spaghetti Monster, or historical Ra, Zeus, Thor, etc, etc. See my point?

But there is a historical Jesus, he just didn't do any of the miracles that happened in the Bible

Its the miracles people don't have evidence for, not his historical existence. That's pretty well confirmed, my friend. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historic…

That's a gross oversimplification and misrepresentation of the religion. That's like me saying Buddhism is just about not killing anything or eating meat, passed down by some blue-skinned idiot who just sat under a tree. That's like me saying atheists are nihilists who don't believe in anything and wouldn't be able to say anything nice at someone's funeral cuz they just believe that your mom is worm food now, so who gives a fuck? That's like me saying all liberals are pussy-pansy political correct wimps who whine and scream about safe spaces, or that all Republicans are gun-humping, suck-off-the-rich assholes who don't believe in any government at all.

See, I can do the same bit of bullshit YOU just did, my friend. And BTW, your avatar? Guess what? STEPHEN COLBERT IS A CATHOLIC.

If you need to believe in fairy tales to be a good person or whatever more power to ya. When you put stock in a two thousand year old book don't be surpised when people call out how ridiculous that is.
Thanks for the information about Colbert I didn't pick up on that fact when I was watching the Colbert Report THROUGHOUT IT'S ENTIRE RUN.

P.S. Colbert sucks now.

Jesus historically existing isn't a fairy tale. And you can't gimme the argument of "oh its old so it sucks". You wanna complain about a book in cryptic language written thousands of years ago by which people are meant to live their lives? What the FUCK do you think the US CONSTITUTION IS? A book in cryptic language written HUNDREDS of years ago, by which people are meant to rule and live life, and we're STILL arguing TODAY over what the fuck the Founding FATHERS meant, and they wrote that in "plain English", not Greek or Ancient Hebrew like the Bible. Humans are ALWAYS looking to lessons of the past to better form how to live in the present and make a future. The basis for our laws came from a mixture of Judeo-Christian thought, Enlightenment Principles that were founded off of ANCIENT GREEK ideas, etc, etc.

And don't tell me "oh you need something else to be a good person". EVERYONE needs something to be a good person. That's why we have laws. Laws don't exist to force a bad man to be good, as MLK famously said, they remind a good man to remain good. Because people need constant reminders to be good, because there's so much crap in the world that you have to remain vigilant. And the price you pay for not being vigilant, for indifference in public affairs is, as PLATO once said, "to be ruled by evil men".

So yeah. "If it ain't broke don't fix it". Just because the origins of something are ancient doesn't mean it's wrong. But go on making that dishonest straw man fairy tale argument. Even YOU know how intellectually dishonest that is. Course, you won't admit to it, because that means admitting you're wrong, and people hate doing that.

If you think things like Lazarus of Bethany, Noah's arc, the Book of Genesis, etc. actually happened then yeah, you're dumb.

What do you think is in the Bible? Have you read it or do you just go to church and take the preist at his word?
Also about the constitution, you know it's not set in stone, right? You do know it has changed over the years, right?
As for "indifference in public affairs" do you not see how corrupt our government is?
